LO 4: Task 4
As a senior manager of Titan Travel UK,
I take a future decision with a role of marketing strategy. Here are several
focused strategic decisions connecting to tour and travel operating industry in
this below:
Targeting
Customer: The
customer targeting well be start before creating a new and colorful tour
packages for the customer. Here are some objectives includes such as tour plan,
destination, cost management, service provider, contract with the agent,
transport facilities etc. The customer targeting process helps to the company fill
up their goal (Gountas, 2005).
Discount
Price: This is the
most effective way to attract the customer to buy the tour packages. In this
process, there are huge number of people are interested to go in their
destination place. Discount price strategy also helps to promotion the tour
packages and growing up the rating of this company.
Competitive
Price Strategy:
At the present business system is competitive business. All of the companies
are making completion with others. In tour and travel industry, most of the
tour company try to collect their customer with highly offered via online
advertise and promotional marketing. So, Titan Travel UK needs to stay with
other companies by following the competitive price strategy in making tour
packages (Gountas, 2005).
Seasonal
Effects: There are
different situation happened by the seasonal effects. This effect must be
developed before making tour packages.
If the destination place seasonally less cost, then the tour packages
set up with extra advantage for the customers. Otherwise the tour packages set
up according to the seasonal effects of the destination country.
Promotional
Strategies: Promotional
strategy is another strategic decision to making more customers attract to
visit their websites of office. When they visit Titan Travel UK website or
offices they are interested with go to the tour (Gountas,
2005).
B.
Briefly
evaluate the difference between tactical and strategic decisions that could
have taken by Titan Travel UK in different situations:
Tactical decisions connected to the
implementation of strategic decisions. It has taken by the middle man of the
Titan Travel UK. It helps to developing divisional plans, structure and
distribution process. On the other hand, Strategic decisions works with the
whole part of Titan Travel UK. These decisions pre-planned for long time for
the company (Theobald, 2005).
Tour operation maintains the customer
price value to travels packages. If the sales are low value, they need to
influence the customer by their tactical decisions and helps to achieve the
targeted place. On the other side, if the total booking numbers of customer are
very high but the expected place are not available then they need to close the
packages of holiday tour. Here are some tactical decisions that regarding the
promotion for the tour operators such as different sales promotional process,
promoting by advertising, price Lessing due to the increase of sales value (Theobald,
2005).
Conclusion:
Travels and tour sector are making good revenue in the current business
for any country. The recent trends and development of tour operation helps to
get the opportunity for the interested travelers. At the ending of this
assignment, it has been said all tasks are discussed about the selected topic.
Titan Travel UK uses new technology and innovative methods for their promotion.
